Our Story

Set the Stage has been in the home staging business since 1986

In 1986, Nancy Hopper was one of the pioneers of a new form of interior design called interior staging. The idea was that a furnished home sells faster and for more money than an empty one. She started Set the Stage (then known as Accessories Plus) as a small business with only herself operating it.

Almost thirty years later, Set the Stage has become the largest home staging resource in the state with an almost 30,000 square foot warehouse with tens of thousands of items. Set the Stage works with Home Stagers delivering high quality, professionally designed interiors to 10-20 homes a week.

Set the Stage gives me access to literally thousands of items to design from. I am able to freely design an interior without being limited to a specific stock of furniture that may not go with the style of the home or neighborhood. – Mico Smith, Home Stager
